Katrina Love, Convenor

Katrina comes to AJP Tasmania as State Convenor, with a wealth of experience and knowledge, having been involved with the party Since 2012, when she was first asked to run for the Senate in her capacity as Fremantle-based live export campaigner with Stop Live Exports.

She spent 9 years as WA State Convenor, served four years on the Board of Directors as National Vice President, and ran in three Senate elections as lead candidate (and one Senate re-election), two federal by-elections – gaining a record 5.3% of the vote in the seat of Fremantle in 2018, and also ran as lead Legislative Council candidate in two WA State elections.

Originally from Sydney, Katrina spent 30 years in WA then came to Tassie for a 3-month break in Jan 2020. She loved the place so much, she upheaved her life in WA and moved here, settling in the Huon Valley where she lives with two adopted orphaned lambs, Buster and Lucille, and Avery – a rescued German Shepherd who had a terrible start to life, and abundant birdlife that she is frankly, a bit obsessed with!

Katrina continues her part-time work for Stop Live Exports remotely from her Franklin home.
