Tim Wescott, Committee Member

Tim has been a passionate advocate for animals for many years, having turned his hand to direct animal care, street outreach, event organising and digital activism before joining the AJP Tasmania committee in 2020. He stood in the 2021 Tasmanian state election in the seat of Clark, in which he polled highest of all of the “other” candidates on Antony Green’s election blog (a very narrow boast, but there it is).

Tim’s day job is as a web developer for a small web development agency in nipaluna/Hobart of which he is a co-owner. He’s best known in the office as the guy who sometimes brings in Charlie, the beagle with whom he shares his home.

He has previously been both Convenor and Deputy Convenor, and as the unofficial election guy for the Tasmanian branch, Tim loves to dabble in amateur psephology. He is focused on seeing AJP candidates elected in Tasmania to help bring about legislative change for animals at all levels of government.
